Day 1: So it begins...

"There is nothing ironic about show choir!" -Rachel Berry (Pilot)

And so had begun my downward spiral towards my Glee-obsession... Ladies and gentlemen, they say that one of the first sure signs of having a problem is admitting one has a problem.

Hello, my name is Iris and GLEE is my "problem."

And apparently (quite thankfully actually, as safety comes in numbers) I am not the only GLEEk (def: a Glee geek, aka Glee fanatic, aka obsessed Glee fan) around. Head on to any popular television fan forum and you are bound to happen to a many a Gleek.

I could spend my entire first post explaining what Glee is all about and the complete phenomenon that it is... But for fuck's sake that would take days (and this Gleek is too lazy to explain a craze that only those living under a rock would know nothing about)!

Instead, I will explain the purpose of this personal blog.

See, just like any good full seasoned show, there are breaks in between productions. Glee is no different and sadly, after an amazing thirteen episode run!, the fall finale came and went and the newest episode won't appear until.... (cue Flight of the Bumblebees)... APRIL 13!

That is four months and three days away from now.

You heard correct... Four MONTHS and three days from NOW.

Four.

Months.

*sigh*

And as a way to cope, this fan has decided to chronicle-slash-vent-slash-bitch-slash-cry her way through the Long Glee-less Winter via blogging about it.

Day One consisted of me watching the Fall Finale two more times (with intervals of rewinding certain scenes and performances), listening to all the songs I had downloaded while cleaning (because I do have a life outside of Glee, surprisingly...), and realizing that I needed to create this blog...

Ultimately I hope to not only have this ease my Glee withdrawals, but also to look back upon this with laughter (oh God I hope I'm laughing at my fanatic craziness) and with... (okay, so pun intended) glee.

And that's how "I" see it. (heh, Sue would have me shot...)
