*sigh* Happiness in a box... Okay, I'm ready to rant *cracks knuckles*
Okay, seriously, who the FUCK would rather watch one more new reality musical competition (because seriously like we need another televised singing contest) instead of Glee?!
Nothing against NBC -- no, really, nothing against it because this is the network that had given me Quantum Leap and Heroes and is the network where I spend my traditional Turkey Day viewing (hello! Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, featuring Broadway musical numbers! duh) -- but I'm not interested in watching your "American Idol"/"Glee" reality show Sing-Off.
Here's the article where you can read more about it and check out a performance: CLICK HERE TO SING OFF.
Maybe I'm not a big fan of reality shows (then again, for a brief time I was addicted to VH1 crappy love shows), but I'd rather see my fictional plucky band of high school fictional crooners deal with fictional situational on-goings. And the fact that these fictional characters are played by charming Broadway vets and darling newcomers and they burst out into choir/showtunes/pop songs make Glee so much better than...
Watching real life people sing cover songs...
I don't want to be reminded that there are people out there looking for their fifteen minutes of fame! If I did, I'd stick to fuckin' American Idol (which, by the way, I'm going to do in protest against Sing-Off).
I want my fantasy, not reality!
*growls unhappily*
*sigh* Okay, end of rant... *scrolls up to rewatch youtube clip*
