So far this holiday season has been... decent. Having a Glee-less Winter sucks, but I suppose (if I may coin Will's phrasing) that's what makes the show so special!
In addition to having to survive the four month wait, I also come to discover my cable service provider, Time Warner, is going through negotiations with FOX and if they don't come to a reasonable understanding (basically FOX is asking for more money, TW isn't about to shell out the moolah aka hike up the consumer's bills) by December 31... well, they're pulling out any affiliated FOX networks.
And guess which show is ON said affiliated network?
(pause for dramatic effect)
Nnnnnnnnoooooooooooo!!!!!!
*sigh* In an effort for Time Warner to have their customers voice a say (aka chastise the "big bad cable network"), they rolled out a website (found HERE) that lets the average cable consumer vote on whether or not Time Warner should give in (aka shell out the moolah-slash-hike up bills).
Honestly... I want my Glee come April so... I'm both hoping for the best and already -- if need be -- putting extra money aside to pay that fee should it come down to the hiking of bills.
... Or PLAN B, as insisted by my loving fiance', I could always HULU the show.
Uh... yeah, I want my Glee.
So I shall end this note on something that not only made me giggle in its ridiculousness, but grin because of the fact that this means that the show is reaching international heights!
Look, it's a flashmob!
Merry GLEEkmas, everyone!
----------------
Time Warner Cable and FOX are amazing corporations (TWC, because considering that I did intern for them for two summers, and FOX because, duh, Glee) and in no way shape or form am I bashing them. I merely am stating that as a consumer I get the suckiness of the situation, but also as a major fan of Glee that I am willing to sacrifice just to get my fix... and yes, I do realize now that I am comparing Glee to crack. But I want the show, damnit... Give me my show!
